Missing My Real Home
I love animals and plants. One of my 2 favorite joys in life besides my husband, family, and all my friends. it is what makes me the way that I am. I love writing. But just the joy of seeing my husband's love in his eyes for me,make me the happiest that i can be. I love living in Happy valley,Oregon but i still miss my real home, back home in Cabot,PA. A little town in the country about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh where I grew up.I raised my 4 children and all of my family are still back there including my parents. My dad is 94 and my mom will be 78. I especially miss my younger sister,Marcy too. We are so close even thought there are 12 years between us as well as 3,000 miles,we still talk on the phone most every day. She tells me what she thinks and I listen and laugh as she guides me through life as I guide her from 3,000 miles away when she is driving home on the back roads back there from her job at BH Faster care, an urgent care medical facility back home where she works. She said on those long dark nights when it is raining that if anything happens to her,to call 911 cause I am the only one that is always there for her. I miss her so much. After i moved to Oregon, 14 years ago now, she was mad at me for a long time. i wouldn't talk to her on the phone cause she always was yelling at me and saying that I don't care about anyone but myself. I would cry many times after she said that cause I felt like I was losing my best friend. i knew she was hurting inside cause I wasn't there any more. Later years she told me that she missed me so much. We always did many things together. She was there for me through my first marriage to my ex-husband. i was 19 and she was 7 when I first got married. She was there for me when my first daughter,Tanya was born in 1979. She was 8:) She was there when my second daughter,Lisa was born in 1981, she was there when my third child,Georgie was born in 1983:) She was 12 then:) She would come and spend the summer with my ex-husband & me. She helped entertain my 3 kids then:) Her nieces and nephew. She was great. i could get stuff done :) She was 19 when she had her first daughter,Bailey:) I was 31. She would come over with Bailey and I returned the favor of helping her with bailey:) My 3 then Tanya,11, Lisa,9 and Georgie,7 also liked helping and playing with Bailey. This was 1990. then she was their when i had my 4th and final daughter,Chelsea in 1991. Bailey & Chelsea were 8 months apart and grew up together. Now all my children are all grown up. Tanya is 35, Lisa is 33, Georgie is 31, & Chelsea is 23. Chelsea,my youngest, has my first adorable grandson, Landon James. he will be 3 on July 1st. I miss them all so much. I went back home in July 2012 for a month. A month wasn't long enough.
